Robert Michael Smith is a tenured Associate Professor at the New York
Institute of Technology. Smith has been an active pioneer of digital
sculpture through utilization of emerging technologies such as 3D
visualization/animation, virtual sculptures for the web, stereoscopic
projections, rapid prototyping, and CNC milling in various materials.
